Admission Criteria (Five-Year TED Program)
- have completed at least one year of coursework at the University,
- have completed or be in enrolled in EDIS 2010 (Teaching as a Profession and EDIS 2880 (Field Experience),
- be in good standing (GPA of 2.7 or higher) in the College of Arts and Sciences,
- provide adequate test scores* (SAT, ACT, or PRAXIS I ), and
- apply by March 1 of their second year in the College (although those interested in high-need areas of special education, math, science or foreign language may apply as late as their third year in the College).
*To Substitute SAT or ACT Scores for PRAXIS I:
SAT taken prior to April 1, 1995, minimum score of 1000, with at least 450 on the verbal and 510 on the mathematics tests.
SAT taken after April 1, 1995: minimum score of 1100, with at least 530 on the verbal and 530 on the mathematics tests.
ACT taken prior to April 1, 1995: minimum composite score of 21, with at least 21 in math, 37 in English plus Reading.
ACT taken after April 1, 1995: minimum composite score of 24, with at least 22 in math, 46 in English Plus Reading.
